Off Property Surprise on Earth Day 2016
I truly enjoy going to Disney World more than any other place in this country; however, I also enjoy exploring off property excursions as well.
One of the places I truly enjoy visiting is Cocoa Beach. It is this place where my daughter first learned how to surf and where we stopped at an over pass and had my Husbands surprise birthday cake while watching Manatee's play.
Recently we decided once again to relax at the beach and what better place than Cocoa Beach to do just that.
Cocoa Beach is roughly an hour from Disney World via FL-528 E. Its actually a very short drive with scenic views. On the way we always stop at a pit stop right before the exit to Cocoa Beach. It is there where we watch Dolphins and Manatee's play in the wild right before our very eyes. As we were headed to our usual pit stop this most recent time we noticed a lot of vehicles pulled off to the side of the road. I was not sure what was happening so I too looked over to where the cars were pulled over and noticed an amazing, unexpected site.
It was the space shuttle being rafted off in the distance.
My daughter and her friend Annemarie and my husband and I stood there in awe as we watched the space shuttle move slowly across the water in front of us. It was a majestic sight to behold indeed and I for one will never forget that moment.
This was completely a surprise. It was amazing to see this beautiful space shuttle so close. The best things on vacation are those that are completely surprise.
