DVC Member Lounge at Epcot

I had a chance to check out the new member lounge in Epcot on my recent trip in June. I was so excited because when I was there in April it was not yet open and I was a little bummed out by this because we were told it was open wen I booked our room. Either way, how cool it is to have a place for DVC member's to chill out and get out of the heat; especially in June when its close to 100 degree's.

Second floor of the ImageWorks merchandise location within the Imagination! Pavilion at Epcot. The hours are 10am until 6pm nightly. You must have your i.d. and your member i.d. as well. I went up to the Cast Member at the podium downstairs and showed him my i.d. and he directed us to the elevator, they also have stairs you could walk up. He pushed the button for us after he advised the Cast Member upstairs we were coming. Once we were off the elevator this is what we seen....

This is the very first thing you see as soon as you get off the elevator. Its pretty and the Cast Members were very nice and they said, "welcome home". I love that phrase and I never get tired of hearing that. We walked around to the left and immediately noticed these beauty's....

The Coke Freestyle machines. There so many flavors. We got our drinks and headed for a seat.

Right next to the Coke Freestyle machines sits these computers stations with printer. Then there is the seating.

Just chilling out in the a/c with our drinks. This is my husband Joe and daughter Jenna. It felt so nice up there. There are plenty of seats and a notebook (computer) on a table for anyone to use and wi-fi through out. There is also a children's play area with video games.

As we were sitting there relaxing a very nice Cast Member came up to us with a cart full of snacks and ask us if we would like one. We each got to choose. I choose gummy bears, Jenna choose a granola bar and Joe choose chips. Here is all the snacks that were in the cart....

That was totally unexpected because they never advertised anything about snacks. I thought that was very nice.

Its so beautiful up there and can only imagine what it would be like in a rain storm. I asked a CM if they would ever keep it open during Illuminations and she said no and that you couldn't see the fireworks from up there anyways because she tried it and could not, that is very good to know. I am so happy that I as able to enjoy the lounge not once but twice during my June trip. Its so nice to see this space being used again and so beautiful. I hope they keep it open.
